Soundtrack For Your Games

Music can be important to enhance (or kill) the mood for your game. Mostly when I've played RPGs I forget to bring music along or we play at a library, so it's usually isn't a factor. But for fantasy RPGs I really like listening to classical music or renaissance music, most notably Lute or Classical guitar.

Wargaming is a bit different. It usually bogs down to listening to music from that time period, or in the case of playing Warhammer 40k, throwing on Slayer's "Seasons In The Abyss".

What kind of music do you listen to while gaming?

  1. D&D? Led Zeppelin or other 70's hard rock or prog.

  2. Computer RPG soundtracks. Vagrant Story, Suikoden (various versions), Morrowind, Oblivion.

  3. I've written a few posts on music in my games. I prefer non-vocal music for background generally. Over time, I'm building a Youtube music file list for game nights.

  4. asurastar- Led Zeppelin is a good choice, they're the original D&D band.

Alex- I've seen Morrowind but I can't remember what the soundtrack was like.

    Dylan- That's a great idea!
