Elvish Art For Ral Partha
Here are a few illustrations I did for Ral Partha's re-release of Chaos Wars. The Elf Chariot was always one of my favorite models but I never got around to buying one. I'll have to remedy that soon. The other two are a couple of Elf Archer characters based on the classic models. Over all they were very fun to draw and I look forward to seeing them in print!

Rogahn the Fearless and Zelligar the Unknown
I really wanted to do an illustration of Rogahn and Zelligar, so here it is. Drawing mainly on imagination because I couldn't find any descriptions. It fits in with how I see them any way. I'm going to run the adventure for my family this weekend using the Holmes Edition of Dungeons & Dragons.

More City State Art
A few more illustrations for the upcoming City Stat of the Invincible Overlord book. First one is a City State Wizard, second are some Thunderhold Dwarves and the third is a Rat Catcher. I had a lot fun doing these illustrations. The City State really came to life in my imagination!

Here are a couple of illustrations I did ....
... for the upcoming release of Citystate of the Invincible Overlord by Judges Guild. I can't wait for it to come out!
The top illustration is a city scene with the Blue Dolphin Tavern in the background (it was featured in the original City State book). The bottom left is the Baleful Eye Of Morg in the Hellbridge Temple. And the bottom right is a city guard getting a bit drowsy after a long night's watch.
Hope you enjoy these, I may post others sometime later!

All's Quiet On The Blogging Front ...
... but not for long. I've been occupied with other things, but will eventually get back on the horse. I'm happy to say my hiatus was due to some illustration related work I was able to be a part of. I've been doing some illustrations for the upcoming release of Judge's Guild's "City State of the Invincible Overlord"! This to me is a dream come true, I've been an admirer of their products since I cut my teeth on role-playing back in the 80s, and to be a part of the City State is just great!
Alright, no more gushing but I am really excited for this release!

The weather outside is frightful....
This was a drawing I did for a S&W adventure module a few years back. They couldn't use it because the the textured paper that I used but I still like the way it came out. And considering the weather lately this feels appropriate to re-share. I really need to do some more winter scenes, this one was really fun to do.

Wolf Guard Illustration
I did this quick sketch while at work. Based on Splintered Light miniatures Dwarf Guard miniatures, which reminds me I need to put in another order with them!

Paris, Prince of Troy
Here's an illustration I did of Paris from the Illiad, on a page from the book. I wanted to give him a more Anatolian look because the Trojans were related to the Anatolians as they were to the Greeks. They also would've had a Hittite influence as well being that they dominated most of that region at the time.
For those interested, here's a short article.

Nevermore . . .
A month ago I started to take a stab a some caricatures which I've never really done before. Outside of some drawings I used to do when I was in junior high of my 7th and 8th grade tormentors getting their come-upins.
I like the way it turned out and am planning on doing more after the holidays are over.

Troll World Art Challenge - #2 Troll Tavern (Sketch)
This is just a sketch at the moment but it's starting to take shape. Hopefully this captures patrons celebrating inside a tavern in Troll World. I'm not sure what a Trolf looks like but that's the female in the illust.

Trollworld Art Challenge: #1 Rat Kin
I sent off a facebook message to Ken St. Andre and asked him if he'd like to help me out of a drawing slump. I was looking to do some more illustrations depicting Trollworld so I asked if he would give me a weekly assignment on what to draw. Ken chooses the subject matter and I crank out the illustration.
Today's illustration is a Rat Kin adventurer, one of the colorful characters that you could find strolling around in the taverns of Khazan or in the sewers (either way it's the same thing).
